Year 13 Film Studies - Short Films Examples

WARNING - This film is the winner of the 'Ctrl.Alt.Shift' short film competition which has a remit to produce films that fight global social injustice. It is shocking and thought provoking and as one commentator said: "This short film makes an admirable attempt at performing one of the key roles of visual media in social activism - bridging the gap between the audience and a distant reality. By changing the context of the violation the film recasts child soldiers - no longer are they 'distant others' worthy of our pity and damned to a place of violence, but precious children in need of our attention and support."

Dedicated Short Film Channel






I was browsing movies last night on SKY and stumbled across 'Shorts TV' (342) - a dedicated short film channel which showcases animated shorts; film school shorts; world cinema shorts and arthouse shorts to name just a few of the categories within its schedule. For all you A2 Film students about to embark on short film production, this platform might provide you with the perfect inspiration. It's definately worth checking out. Here's their website link:
